Asparagus Bottoms

Many people throw away the bottoms of their asparagus. However, you can use these trimmings as a tasty addition to a salad or stir fry. Start by trimming about 1 inch off of the bottom, just so you get all of the pale purple off. Then cut about 5 slices each a centimeter or so wide. You can store these in a sealed container and add to future dishes.
